Judging from the texture of the and the craftsmanship of the mountings, it is presumed to be a top-tier iaido produced in the late Showa to early Heisei period. The hamon (temper line) has a very similar atmosphere to products from Biki Pack.

Habaki, seppa, and are all firm with no play. The koiguchi (mouth of the saya) is not loose. Tsuba play has been completely repaired. The mekugi (peg) shows some wear but is not problematic for use. If the appearance is a concern, please replace it. Replacing the mekugi is simple. The has general scuff marks from use.

It features a continuous groove (kakinagashi-do) which creates a crisp cutting sound through the air.
